Biocytogen's RenMice platform anchors a strategic partnership with Sihuan Pharmaceutical Holdings Group (HKEX: 0460) that will direct fully human antibody discovery capabilities toward weight management and additional undisclosed therapeutic areas. Biocytogen Pharmaceuticals (HKEX: 02315), founded in 2008 and dual-listed on Hong Kong's main board and Shanghai's STAR Market, will contribute its RenMice transgenic mouse systems and an AI-augmented antibody selection engine. Sihuan, a Beijing-based medical aesthetics and pharmaceutical company listed on HKEX since 2010, will provide drug development, manufacturing, and commercialization capabilities. No financial terms were disclosed.

Deal context

The central asset is Biocytogen's RenMice platform family, which comprises RenMab, RenLite, and RenNano systems built on the company's proprietary SUPCE chromosomal engineering technology. SUPCE enables megabase-scale, in situ replacement of murine immunoglobulin variable region loci with their human counterparts, preserving native regulatory elements and normal B-cell development. The result is transgenic mice that generate fully human antibodies through standard immunization, without requiring post-generation humanization steps that can alter binding properties. RenLite extends the system by restricting antibody production to a single common light chain, which eliminates the heavy and light chain mispairing that complicates bispecific antibody assembly. RenNano produces heavy-chain-only antibodies analogous to nanobodies. The platform has previously supported more than 200 partnership deals globally, with licensees including Merck KGaA, Janssen, BeiGene, and Xencor.
