Lilly Taps Repertoire's DECODE Platform for Tolerizing Autoimmune Therapies in USD 1.9B Deal

Eli Lilly and Repertoire Immune Medicines have entered a strategic collaboration to develop tolerizing therapies for autoimmune diseases, leveraging Repertoire's DECODE™ platform for T cell receptor (TCR)-epitope discovery. The deal enables Lilly to access Repertoire's computational immunology technology for discovering precision immune modulation therapies aimed at restoring immune homeostasis without generalized immune suppression.

Under the collaboration, Repertoire will lead initial discovery activities using its DECODE platform to identify and characterize T cell receptor interactions relevant to autoimmune disease pathology. Lilly will then take responsibility for clinical development, manufacturing, regulatory affairs, and global commercialization of resulting therapeutic candidates.

The financial structure includes an $85 million upfront payment from Lilly to Repertoire, with potential development and commercial milestones totaling up to $1.84 billion. The total potential deal value stands at USD 1.925 billion, representing a significant investment in next-generation immune tolerance technologies.

The DECODE platform enables systematic mapping of T cell receptor interactions with specific disease-relevant epitopes, potentially allowing for more targeted approaches to treating autoimmune conditions. By identifying precise molecular mechanisms driving autoimmune responses, the collaboration aims to develop therapies that can selectively modulate immune responses without broad immunosuppression.
