Think Bioscience Secures USD 55 Million to Advance Rare Disease Pipeline
Boulder, Colorado-based Think Bioscience has raised USD 55 million in a Series A funding round to advance its small-molecule drug discovery platform targeting historically undruggable genetic targets. The oversubscribed round will support the company's preclinical pipeline, with a primary focus on developing therapies for rare genetic conditions.
Regeneron Ventures led the investment, joined by Innovation Endeavors and Janus Henderson Investors. Additional participants included T.A. Springer, CE-Ventures, MBX Capital, and YK Bioventures, with support from returning investors AV8 Ventures, CU Innovations, and Buff Gold Ventures. The company said the funding will accelerate its platform technology for identifying novel protein binding sites and advancing its lead program targeting Noonan syndrome.
Think Bioscience is developing a pipeline of small-molecule therapeutics using synthetic biology approaches to target challenging molecular targets, including transcription factors, protein phosphatases, and kinases. The company's lead program focuses on Noonan syndrome, a genetic disorder currently lacking targeted therapeutic options. While the company's pipeline remains preclinical, the substantial Series A funding signals investor confidence in its innovative drug discovery platform and potential to address high unmet medical needs.
