Schrödinger (Nasdaq: SDGR) has licensed two early-stage small molecule immunology and inflammation programs to Tectora Therapeutics, a newly formed biotechnology company it co-founded alongside venture investors New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and RA Capital Management, which simultaneously closed a USD 55 million Series A to fund their development.
Under the agreement, Schrödinger contributed two preclinical small molecule programs — internally designated SDGR-4594 and SDGR-8139 — to Tectora in exchange for an equity stake in the new company, plus eligibility for future milestones and royalties. Specific financial terms were not disclosed. Tectora will be responsible for advancing the programs toward clinical candidacy and will retain ongoing access to Schrödinger's computational platform and drug discovery team. Tectora describes its focus as developing oral medicines for immune-mediated diseases.
Schrödinger previously co-founded Ajax Therapeutics to advance JAK inhibitor programs, retaining equity and an ongoing computational collaboration — a relationship expanded in 2025 to include an additional JAK target. Schrödinger has also co-founded Nimbus Therapeutics and Structure Therapeutics under comparable arrangements. The company said these partnerships have collectively generated over USD 750 million in proceeds to date.
