Vancouver, Washington-based CytoDyn Inc. (OTCQB: CYDY) closed a USD 16.5 million private placement to sustain clinical operations and advance its single-asset oncology pipeline, with net proceeds directed primarily toward ongoing and planned trials, regulatory activities, and data analysis for leronlimab, a CCR5-targeting humanized monoclonal antibody. The company said the financing is expected to fund operations into the second half of 2027.

Paulson Investment Company acted as placement agent. The press release did not disclose pricing, share count, or whether the transaction included warrants or other dilutive securities. Specific investor identities were not named, though the company said both existing and new investors participated.

The capital sustains development of leronlimab (PRO 140) across two active oncology programs. The lead program is the Phase II CLOVER study evaluating leronlimab in combination with trifluridine/tipiracil (TAS-102) and bevacizumab in patients with CCR5-positive, microsatellite-stable relapsed/refractory metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC); CytoDyn completed enrollment of approximately 60 patients across seven US sites in April 2026, with topline data pending. The second active program is an expanded access program in metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (mTNBC), which dosed its first patient in April 2026. Data presented at the AACR Annual Meeting 2026 showed leronlimab-mediated CCR5 inhibition induced PD-L1 expression and was associated with long-term survival in heavily pretreated mTNBC patients, with 17.9% of 28 patients alive after more than 60 months of follow-up. A Phase II study in HIV-related chronic inflammation is in pre-enrollment setup, and a Phase IIa study evaluating leronlimab in Alzheimer's disease, in collaboration with Weill Cornell Medicine, dosed its first patient in June 2026.

This financing is the second Paulson-placed raise in six months for CytoDyn, following a USD 17.5 million placement closed in March 2026 that was also directed toward leronlimab development.
